Questions people ask

What can I erase from a photo?

Small to medium things on plain or repeating surroundings work best: date stamps, "Shot on" camera stamps, text, stickers, power lines, a stranger in the background, a bin on the beach. Very large areas, faces and things that cross detailed edges are harder.

Is it free and without a watermark?

Yes. No sign-up, no watermark and full-size output, the same resolution as your photo.

Is my photo uploaded?

Only the area around what you painted is sent, at most 1024 pixels wide. The filled patch comes back and is pasted into your full-size photo in your browser. Nothing is stored.

Something is still visible after erasing. What now?

Paint over what is left, a little wider than the mark, and erase again. Each pass starts from the last result, so two or three small passes often beat one big one.

Can I remove a watermark from someone else’s photo?

Please don’t. WipeMark is for your own photos. Removing a watermark or credit from someone else’s work can break copyright law in many countries.
